Fischer’s objective is to satisfy the most demanding users: butchers, abattoirs, the catering industry, etc. Fischer exports all over the world, and its legendary “2 red dots” on the face of the steel, are your guarantee of absolute professional quality. The company is a blend of traditional craftsmen skills and state-of-the-art modern equipment.

Materials:
Fischer uses only the finest selected high carbon steel. All steels are forged to give strength and hardness. Handles are made from the finest professional quality, high heat and impact resistant materials.

Coatings:
• Household and semi-professional steels are coated with 2 micron hard chrome coat.
• Professional steels, (two red dots) all have a minimum of a 8-micron hard chrome coat.

This micro-coat increases the external strength of the cutting edges by 3 to 4 HRC.

Cut:
There are numerous professional finishes for cutting, but the following are most popular:
• Standard Cut - a 45 drag lines/cm combination of sharpening and grinding puts the cutting edge back into household knife blades.
• Fine Cut- with 75 drag lines/cm, restores the cutting edge to professional knife blades.

Heat treatment:
This is what provides the hardness. Thanks to investment in high-quality equipment, Fischer has mastered this essential aspect of manufacturing steels. Fischer’s heat treatment guarantees a hardness of between 62 and 64 HRC which makes it simple to sharpen any metal knife.

Magnetisation:
An indispensable process for all Fischer steels for retaining minute particles of steel produced by sharpening on the steels. This is to protect foodstuffs.
